Equity-centered research shouldn’t only be reflected in what we study but should also show up in how research teams operate. This understanding led the Black Families Flourishing (BFF) team to develop an Equity Reflection Framework and a set of measurable equity indicators designed to guide our project activities, including our work to build partnerships, conduct research, engage with and mobilize communities, disseminate research, and manage our team. By outlining our process, lessons learned, and practical considerations, this resource offers a roadmap for research teams seeking to embed equity throughout every stage of their work.
